Hello
I'm Andre Farley, though most people call me AJ. I'm a licensed Texas life insurance agent and the founder of NeonGen Life Insurance.
Before entering insurance, I spent years working as a software engineer and technical operator, including work with organizations such as Disney, The Washington Post, and Blue Origin. That background taught me to ask better questions, examine tradeoffs carefully, and avoid recommending a solution before understanding the problem.
Why I entered insurance
Like many working professionals, I treated employer life insurance as another benefit listed in a company portal. After learning the insurance business more deeply, I realized how many people don't clearly understand what coverage they have, what they need, or what happens when their employment changes.
I also saw that many older adults aren't looking for complicated financial products. They simply want to avoid leaving funeral expenses and final bills to their families.
I became licensed so I could work directly with people on both of those problems: understand their needs, explain the tradeoffs, and help them obtain coverage that fits their actual situation. NeonGen Life Insurance exists to make both conversations clearer.
How I work with clients
I approach insurance the way I approach engineering: understand the problem first, compare the available options, explain the tradeoffs, and build around what the person actually needs.
Practically, that means we start with your goals, budget, current coverage, and the people you want to protect. I'll explain the options in plain English — including costs, underwriting requirements, and any limitations — and you decide whether moving forward makes sense. If you apply, I'll help you through the carrier's process.
What I focus on
My practice centers on life insurance — term and permanent coverage, where appropriate — and final expense insurance for people who want a clear plan for funeral costs and final bills.
